Evergrene Fall Short

Posted on December 10, 2008. Filed under: Evergrene | Tags: , , |

Is anyone still buying in Evergrene? What started out as a promising subdivision of beautiful homes in Palm Beach Gardens seems to have turned into a community full of short sales that no one wants to touch. The neighborhood’s reputation looks like it has taken a dive. What happened?

Evergrene has a lot of homes for sale because the residents are all moving out. The HOA fee twice as much money as any other association with the same amenities, about $500.00 a month. My friend and her husband love their home in Evergrene, and detest their HOA. I told her to go to the HOA meetings and complain. She said that members sometimes do complain and the HOA Officers are rude to them.

When is $500 plus a month ok- Not in this market -in this type of community
Evergrene has been hit with some bad luck and alot of bad press ( mostly the developers doings)
A few months back someone made a comment but did not believe (or trust) what people were saying
I now see that person went elsewhere and asked the same questions about Evergrene and got the same answer.
The developer got caught up in the market and thought it people would pay for amenities that most dont want or need
Too bad because I love the general location other than the homes by the tracks
